Day 064

 Dear dreamer,

The grind...

All the answers I was seeking were in the grind. I was willing to bet this chance to live this dreams.

There was a question though. All of this effort, with each challenge were bound to leave their own marks. They will change a couple of things; priorities, how I chose what was important, behavioural traits among others. All of this was a means to an end. Was it worth it? It's a severe gamble to make. Change is always a gamble that you should take with caution.

Sometimes, tiny wins feel like magic. Meanwhile, it's all in the grind. The late nights, the early mornings. Meeting up with responsibilities on every side can be sometimes very difficult and you persist whether it was easy or not. Then, the lessons you will have to learn with time. Some of the habits or school of thought we have to either learn or unlearn. You will have to make a few decisions that you are not used to or planned for and you just have to show up for all of it or give up all of it. Then, the major decisions that seem strange to take initially- not that they are terrible ones, you have just not done things from some other perspective.

Sooner or later, it feels like you have become someone strange to yourself too. They say people change but if you track their journey, you find traces of the little seeds that blossomed into what it currently is. Our grind where visions and aspirations gets mixed with hard reality and a lot of modifications eventually happen. This was exactly where my question sprung from. Was I to take such a gamble knowing the results could get awry or could it?

I don't think any sacrifice would be too great to pay for our dreams. What do you think?
