Day 058

 Dear dreamer,

Progress Report

Yes. I think it is long overdue. Recently, I have been lost in the many challenges that can plague our existence that I almost forgot what I was supposed to do so, this is me doing what I should. 

I am currently doing what I would describe as 'Tidying up'. I am supposed to do an evaluation of product 2 and wrap up pre-building phase. I was rushing up to tie  up loose ends. The brand...hmm, I tried to design the logo and set up a couple of things but it just felt out of place in terms of time and chance. Besides, it needs funding and I am trying to allocate funds appropriately for the right things. I am definitely stepping out of the grey area in terms of finances but I did not want to make wrong choices and go broke in a matter of days or weeks of getting out. Not with all of the knowledge I have garnered from several hours, days even of studying financing. Of course, I know nobody knows the perfect answers but knowledge should guide or should it not?

The most quality stuffs does not come without a cost. As for my job, it is just one of the many advantages I have always had growing up. Not trying to gloat but somehow it's beneficial to have natural skills and an entrepreneurial background. That's one odd that was in my favour and I intend to use it to my advantage for as long as I can before moving on to the next stage- whatever that was. 

All of this is a lesson in itself but I will reserve the essence for later because I would not be able to fully express it. Another notable progress is the fact that I was very confident that I would go far in the long run and the process is something that I am beginning to enjoy. If I have been able to come this far even in the midst of disappointments as severe as a heart failure, I just need to persevere a little or maybe more than ever but this is the closest to reassurance that I have had in a while. After all, I had this one chance to do this.

Day 002

Dear dreamer,  Questions...lots of questions Lethargy...I could literally feel it like a gentle caress lulling me back to comfort-very deceptively destructive state. I started the long, arduous process of shaking it off simply because I have this one chance to live my dreams and I won't screw it up as far as it is up to me.  I started the day wondering if my ideas were good. There were a lot of questions;  Can I pull it off?  I might need help so I called out to my close confidant. I read about something called a kitchen cabinet- it is a couple of people that are literally your guide rails. They keep you accountable, you can ask them questions about anything. Well, they are supposed to be comforting enough yet honest to call you up on your faults without mincing words. I started building mine then so I reached out to the one who I can say is the chief of my cabinet. Day 004

  Dear dreamer,  Life Of A Penniless Dreamer I don't know about others but being idle makes me so uncomfortable. Like, I must always be doing something valuable, meaningful, something that is felt but, as it was, I was just waking up in the past few days to nothing but absolute emptiness. Of course, I did some mundane chore but it moved nothing so I was dissatisfied and wondering what exactly I could do- something effortless enough but impactful. Not like I did not have things to do, in fact I had deadlines to meet but I was in low spirits so I had no motivation nor intention and I have learnt to not force some things. Quality dwindles. Poor quality with so much effort. There is something I do from time to time, no fixed time frame but I just organise it as it feels. It's a self-reflection exercise.
