Day 037

Dear dreamer,

What's important?

That's probably the hardest thing I've had to figure out. I was trying to decide what I need to do and what I had to let go of. I was feeling like it was not supposed to be so serious that I have to leave one for the other but let's face it, I had to let the entire idea of doing some things go. They don't seem to have significant contribution to the big picture as a whole but they had managed to spark my interest.

 I could stay obstinate and insist on doing all (I wish..) but one resource is so limited- time. I wanted to waste my time but I had no idea if I even had time to waste. This is the one reason why we always need to be sure that what we are doing at every time is carefully chosen. If this moment were to be your last, would you still choose to do what you are currently doing. If not, then you need to review what you are doing. This is exactly what I was trying to figure out. Should I go ahead and do what's fun or work. Well, for me fun is not exactly what fun should be like. It is also work but one that I will enjoy.

My best bet is advice someone gave me- he said to have fun no matter what you are doing. I never realised the depth of his words until later. The world operates in odds. Anything you are doing could be either successful or fail. The odds of failure or success vary across different events. This means you might fail or succeed at anything you do. So, while you are at it, HAVE FUN. It takes away the sting of having to deal with working so hard at something and failing at it. We have this one chance after all. 

So, at the end, I decided to do something in between- mix the real plans on the paper with the fun ones. I don't even know what that would look like but that was the conclusion...

Day 002

Dear dreamer,  Questions...lots of questions Lethargy...I could literally feel it like a gentle caress lulling me back to comfort-very deceptively destructive state. I started the long, arduous process of shaking it off simply because I have this one chance to live my dreams and I won't screw it up as far as it is up to me.  I started the day wondering if my ideas were good. There were a lot of questions;  Can I pull it off?  I might need help so I called out to my close confidant. I read about something called a kitchen cabinet- it is a couple of people that are literally your guide rails. They keep you accountable, you can ask them questions about anything. Well, they are supposed to be comforting enough yet honest to call you up on your faults without mincing words. I started building mine then so I reached out to the one who I can say is the chief of my cabinet. Day 004

  Dear dreamer,  Life Of A Penniless Dreamer I don't know about others but being idle makes me so uncomfortable. Like, I must always be doing something valuable, meaningful, something that is felt but, as it was, I was just waking up in the past few days to nothing but absolute emptiness. Of course, I did some mundane chore but it moved nothing so I was dissatisfied and wondering what exactly I could do- something effortless enough but impactful. Not like I did not have things to do, in fact I had deadlines to meet but I was in low spirits so I had no motivation nor intention and I have learnt to not force some things. Quality dwindles. Poor quality with so much effort. There is something I do from time to time, no fixed time frame but I just organise it as it feels. It's a self-reflection exercise.
