Day 025

 Dear dreamer,

Discipline or the Lack

If you have ever heard how important consistency is in the course of achievement, it's close cousin is discipline. I don't know what dictionary describes it as but discipline is the quality that makes you do what you are supposed to do whether you feel like it or not. I opened this blog 12 days later than it records and it's day 25 already. The blog should be written in real-time so it can serve its purpose but I have been behind for a while because I lack discipline and it's an habit you have to build to live your dreams

It's not going to be easy, nothing worthwhile is but, discipline will keep you going even when you are tired. The difficult part is the discipline process is for life. Discipline requires consistence and consistence makes you disciplined so keep at it everyday. Don't forget, you only get this one chance to not screw it all up. 

I am committing to writing this blog everyday in real-time because it is supposed to give a clear and relatable glimpse into the life that every dreamer faces; the wins, the losses, the lessons, the mistakes so that if you encounter similar situation(s), you can make better informed choices , understand mistakes, learn lessons, recover from setbacks or just provide stories that you can relate to because we are all on the way and might need a bit more information to keep moving. I really tried but usually, it is not magic and does not really happen immediately but in steps and leaps.

I can say that I'm getting better everyday. I was trying to be obstinate with my current projects. Truth is, I had about five projects but I narrowed it down to two because I wanted to focus and manage my time better. All I had to do was replace one of the projects- project 1 precisely with another but I was hoping I could still do something about it...just something that would change everything around. No pennies yet but I was about to do something that I did not want to do from the start...till tomorrow

Day 002

Dear dreamer,  Questions...lots of questions Lethargy...I could literally feel it like a gentle caress lulling me back to comfort-very deceptively destructive state. I started the long, arduous process of shaking it off simply because I have this one chance to live my dreams and I won't screw it up as far as it is up to me.  I started the day wondering if my ideas were good. There were a lot of questions;  Can I pull it off?  I might need help so I called out to my close confidant. I read about something called a kitchen cabinet- it is a couple of people that are literally your guide rails. They keep you accountable, you can ask them questions about anything. Well, they are supposed to be comforting enough yet honest to call you up on your faults without mincing words. I started building mine then so I reached out to the one who I can say is the chief of my cabinet. Day 004

  Dear dreamer,  Life Of A Penniless Dreamer I don't know about others but being idle makes me so uncomfortable. Like, I must always be doing something valuable, meaningful, something that is felt but, as it was, I was just waking up in the past few days to nothing but absolute emptiness. Of course, I did some mundane chore but it moved nothing so I was dissatisfied and wondering what exactly I could do- something effortless enough but impactful. Not like I did not have things to do, in fact I had deadlines to meet but I was in low spirits so I had no motivation nor intention and I have learnt to not force some things. Quality dwindles. Poor quality with so much effort. There is something I do from time to time, no fixed time frame but I just organise it as it feels. It's a self-reflection exercise.
