Day 014

Dear dreamer,

On to the next...

Opening the blog definitely felt good. It was a challenge I definitely enjoyed- something was entirely up to me to ruin or build, whatever I thought to do. Having experienced this, on to the next.

Product 1 requires nothing other than advertisement. Product 2...there is certainly work to be done. On some days, I think of it and feel overwhelmed and just push it further to the back but I learn something new with regards to it every day and I wish I can find someone who is equally interested in the project but none yet so I will make do for now.

As part of my routine everyday, I have been reading books- I usually pick them randomly when I don't have recommendations but I had this time. The books were about leadership, teamwork and how to build a good team, literally. However, something struck me from the principles to implement, they were simple. Yes, that's it. All of the answers to all the problems you could encounter in team work were simpler than you could imagine.

That's how great ideas and solutions are; simple. The best solution to most issues is always hidden in plain sight- where we won't check. I applied this rule of simplicity in so many things and the way it worked baffled me. We tend to complicate things till they become too much and we retreat. I call all of it overthinking. We are thinking of the past that has happened- overthinking, we are thinking of where we are and where we could be- overthinking, we are thinking of our flaws and we are worried about them- overthinking. In a few words, thoughts that don't produce actions or even hinder actions are products of overthinking.

A personal trick to not overthink is to not indulge in it at all. When I begin to get lost in this thoughts, I shake it off. Sometimes, I take a break where I speak to myself thoroughly and get back when I'm better.

Ask simple questions that you can answer and decide what you need to do. It does not have to be complicated for it to make sense. In fact, simple makes it easier to solve. Keep your goals as simple as possible. Even your problems, turn them to simple questions. A reminder; we only get this chance to live our dreams and we should not blow it off.
